International Mother Language Day Celebration

International Mother Language Day was celebrated by Directorate of Students Welfare and Department of Languages, School of Humanities & Social Sciences on February 21, 2019.

The program was preceded by Prof Jagannath Korody, Officiating President Manipal University Jaipur. Prof N. D. Mathur Director, student welfare and SHSS introduced the subject. Prof Richa Arora and Dr. Tanuja Yadav, HoD Languages were the coordinators of the Program.

The Program was focused on the theme of significance and inception of the International Mother Language Day. The Chief Guest Prof Kusum Sharma delivered the keynote. She discussed the present day status of Hindi language in India.

The Program was highly acclaimed. It ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Deepa Sarabhai, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Languages and the master of the ceremony.
