Prof. (Dr.) Sushil Kumar Rai is the HoD, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Media and Communication, Faculty of Arts, Manipal University Jaipur, from 1st May 2024. Dr Sushil Kumar Rai is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, UP. He has completed Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, Varanasi.

Dr Rai joined MUJ on 18 October 2023 and has over 20 years of teaching and industry experience. He has served with various media organizations (Print & Electronic) with a rich experience of reporting and editing. He has successfully supervised four (04) research scholars and published 26 research papers in National and International Journals of repute, authored one (1) Book, 12 Chapters for different Books and over 50 Articles in newspapers and magazines. His contributions have been recognized with three national awards, and most recently, he was honoured with the Best Teacher Award for 2023 by the Uttarakhand State, presented by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami.
