National Seminar on Physical Education & Sports Science 2019

Department of Arts (Physical Education) and Directorate, Student's Welfare Manipal , under the guidance of Prof. N.D. Mathur (Convener) and Dr. Rina Poonia (Organizing Secretary) organized a national seminar on the theme "Development of Sports and Fitness in Schools and Universities of Rajasthan". Padma Shree Bajrang Lal Thakur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Mr. Gaurav Sharma was the Guest of Honor for the program.

Prof G.K. Prabhu, President, MUJ graced the occasion. Day long national seminar will provide an impetus to creating awareness about the importance of sports and healthy living in our everyday lives given that the sedentary living is leading to many physical ailments in the young people of our times. It will also be a great opportunity to promote sports, develop sports culture, promote greater opportunities in the field of sports and also network with recognized sports personalities and dignitaries.

Dr. K K Pathak, IAS Commissioner Industries was the chief of closing ceremony. Event would be of great benefit to general public, sports persons, psychologists, trainers, physical educationists as well as policy makers. Registration for the day- long event is open to all, free of cost, lunch and seminar kit will be provided by the University.
