The Department of Psychology at Manipal University, Jaipur, successfully organized an insightful session titled “Mind Training for Athletes: Mental Imagery and Performance Optimization” by Dr. Guneet Inder Jit Kaur, Faculty of Sports Psychology from Central University of Rajasthan.

The session introduced students to the role, concept, and types of mental imagery. Further, the session emphasized imagery training skills and their application in managing stress and anxiety in competitive sports. Through interactive activities, case discussions, and exposure to tools such as the Sports Imagery Ability Questionnaire, students gained a practical understanding of how mental training enhances athletic performance and resilience.

The lecture proved highly beneficial for our BA and BSc Psychology students, offering valuable insights into applying psychological principles both in sports settings and everyday life.

A truly enriching learning experience!
