OVERVIEW

The Bachelor of Science (Hons./Hons. with Research) in Physics is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program offered by the Department of Physics at Manipal University Jaipur. The program is designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and follows the UGC Curriculum and Credit Framework. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in core areas of physics through classroom learning, hands-on laboratory training, research projects, multidisciplinary electives, skill enhancement courses, and value-added components. Emphasis is placed on experiential learning through laboratory work, numerical simulations, and project-based assignments. The program aims to provide rigorous undergraduate training in physics, foster scientific curiosity and creativity, and develop strong experimental, mathematical, and computational skills. Graduates are expected to acquire a solid understanding of fundamental physics and the ability to apply their knowledge in diverse academic and professional settings. Students choosing the Honours with Research track undertake a supervised research project in the final semester, preparing them for higher studies and research careers.
