M.TECH IN DATA SCIENCE

OVERVIEW

Department of Information Technology under School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) of Manipal University Jaipur, offers a two-year M. Tech (Data Sciences) program for the aspiring students who want to pursue their career as Data Scientist/Analyst.

Data science field is mainly focused towards the storage, retrieval, analysis and maintenance of data especially when its size (volume) is extremely high (Big Data). The program is designed specifically to well-equip the students with latest technological concepts like Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Key Focus Area(s): Data Science/Analytics, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine and Deep Learning Techniques
  • Scholarship worth (INR 15000 per month) to candidates having valid GATE score (maximum number of scholarships to be given each year is limited to 25% of the sanctioned seats or 20 whichever is lesser)
  • Teaching Assistantship to be provided (as per the recommendation of departmental selection committee, at the time of admission) 
  • Industry Internship of one year

  • IoT lab supported by Texas Instruments, ARM, and Intel

ELIGIBILITY

The candidates must have passed B. Tech/BE/AMIE in CSE, IT, CCE, ECE, EEE, Information Science or M.Sc. Computer Science or IT or Information Science / MCA with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

  • Acquire advanced knowledge on mathematical, statistical, and AI techniques to perform complex data analytics, data modeling, and processing for large and hybrid data sets.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and build complex hybrid data models to process large and real-time data sets.
