OVERVIEW

 

 

Chemistry department has started functioning since the inception of MUJ. The department has made significant contribution in education and research in all areas of chemistry and allied branches. It offers programmes such as B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons) M.Sc (Chemistry) by Research, in all major areas of Chemistry.

 

The Department also offers Engineering Chemistry course for Engineering students and Environmental Studies course for Engineering & Non-Engineering students. The students are provided with comprehensive practical and theoretical exposures to these courses.

RESEARCH

 

Research in the areas such as synthetic chemistry, natural chemistry, plasma chemistry, supra molecular chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, host-guest chemistry, polymeric nanocomposites, environmental chemistry, green chemistry, synthesis of nanomaterials are being pursued. Faculty members have published large number of research papers, book chapters and books in short span of two years.
