OVERVIEW

The Department of Psychology at School of Humanities and Social Sciences was established at Manipal University Jaipur, in 2012. It offers programs at various levels from under-graduation to PhD in psychology.

The department aims at providing the psychology students with theoretical foundation and practical knowledge in the areas of organizational psychology, vocational and counselling psychology, clinical psychology, as well as the upcoming fields such as positive psychology, health psychology and environmental psychology.

The three year BA Honors degree in Psychology (6 semesters) will be an eclectic mix of pure and theoretical psychology as well as practical and applied psychology. Along with in depth knowledge of Psychology, the students are also made well versed with the SPSS in 2nd semester. The grounding for writing a case study and dissertation is in 4th and 5th semester. The students are trained for psychological testing and assessment in a well-equipped psychology laboratory

KEY FEATURES:

No prior qualification in psychology is required for UG course. It is offered both with science and arts subject combination.
Eligibility for BA /BSc is passed in 10+2 or A Level or IB or American 12th Grade or equivalent.
It is open for any stream with passion for understanding psychology of human behaviour.

LABORATORIES:

Psychological Testing Lab – The students will have exposure and experience in using the latest psychological tests for assessment of human behaviour. Psychologists are required to be adapt with the use of psychological tests for assessing personality, intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, aptitude, interest and stress or adjustment levels in people.
Experimental Lab – Apparatus for testing learning, perception, reaction time, memory process, forgetting, and other human processes.
