Big congratulations to Mr Vijay Shankar Kumawat  (Faculty member-Manipal University Jaipur) for receiving the 'Young Innovator`s Award' (2nd Prize) under the mentorship of Dr. Sanchita Bandyopadhyay-Ghosh and Dr. Subrata Bandhu Ghosh for their innovation on bioinspired microporous implant! The award was presented during the InnoHEALTH 2019 conference.

 

This year’s theme was “Unmet Needs - Leading to Innovation", with Canada as the country partner. Total number of applications received for this year’s 'Young Innovator's Award' were 209, out of which 8 teams were shortlisted to present their innovations (https://innohealth.in/young-innovators-award/).

 

The applications were scrutinized by a diverse jury consisting of investors, policy makers, academicians and industry personnel. The shortlisted candidates presented their innovative ideas and products before the jury and a national and international gathering of health experts from different parts of the world. Mr. Vijay Sankar Kumawat presented the innovations on behalf of the team and won the award (https://twitter.com/hashtag/YounInnovatorAward2019?src=hash&lang=en).

 

The award carried cash reward of Rs. 20,000/- and award certificates. The project will also be featured in the upcoming issue of 'InnoHEALTH' magazine.
