Manipal University Jaipur organised its orientation programme for the B.Tech Freshers joining the University for the academic session 2017 – 18. Director Admissions Dr Richa Arora welcomed the students and their parents to the orientation programme and threw light on the importance of the programme.

President Dr Sandeep Sancheti in his welcome address enumerated the various milestones achieved by the University since its inception in 2011. He highlighted the various innovative steps taken by the University in academics and research methodology, it being New Age University. He introduced the Deans and Directors to the students .

Dr Vandana Suhag, Registrar elaborated on the special features and programs of Manipal Group institutions. She highlighted the best practices and systems adopted by the University for efficient and smooth academic as well as learning beyond classroom for the students.

The students were made aware of strict discipline being desired from them with no room for laxity. Pro-President Prof N N Sharma, gave an insight into the academic set up, credit system, feedback process, grading system and AMS. Dean, R&I Prof B K Sharma, highlighted the research and innovation activities of the University.

Various Deans/ Directors further brought the Freshers up-to-date on scholarships, placement, hostel life and discipline, IT infra, library and sports and cultural activities. Dean FoA&L Prof Mridul Srivastava gave vote of thanks and congratulated all for successful organisation of the orientation programme.
