The National Hackathon was a part of Government of Rajasthan’s 3rd HR and Education Conclave. It was hosted by Directorate of E-Cell, Manipal University Jaipur.

 

OBJECTIVE

This National Hackathon invited the young brains across the country to attempt to solve proposed problems like: Solution for water management, agriculture, rural livelihood, healthcare, water technology, environment technology, road safety, smart city innovations etc.

The objective was to inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem solving, where in participants required build a prototype / deploy applications/ hardware on a problem statement.

 

PRIZE MONEY

  • First Prize: Rs 1,00,000/-
  • Second Prize: Rs 75,000/-
  • Third Prize: Rs 50,000/-

Highlights/Sequence of Event:

Day-1 (16th December):

  1. Honorale Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sh Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the event through Video Conferencing and wished the participants for success. He was joined by President-MUJ in Hotel Clarks Amer
  2. Inaugural ceremony was attended in MUJ by Dr Ashok Kumar, ADM- Jaipur, Pro-President MUJ, Registrar-MUJ, Director-E Cell and members of organizing team.
  3. The Minister of Higher and Technical Education (HTE) Dr Subhash Garg and Smt Shuchi Sharma Secretary HTE visited the campus in afternoon session and addressed the participating students.
  4. Mentoring support (mentors from industry and start-ups) was given to the participants throughout the event.
  5. The Hackathon continued for 24 hours (Night long) non-stop and teams were judged in rounds.

 

Day-2 (17th December):

 

  1. Dr Gambhir, Director-Innovation Council, MHRD, Govt. of India visited the venue and guided the students.
  2. Total 15 teams were shortlisted for final round of presentation and 3 teams were declared winners.
  3. The valedictory and award ceremony was organized in Hotel Clarks Amer. Students were awarded by Minister of HTE(Dr Subhash Garg) , Minister of Higher Education(Sh. Bhanwar Singh Bhati), Secretary-HTE(Smt. Shuchi Sharma) and President-MUJ. The audience included Ambassadors of 5 countries, CEOs of many companies and start-ups, Vice Chancellors of State Universities and other dignified guests.
  4. Ministers, Secretary-THE and President-MUJ awarded special appreciation certificates to Dr V S Dhaka, Director-ECell, MUJ and Ankit Mundra, Nucleus Member-ECell, MUJ for grand success of the event.
