Job Description

Title of the Project

Development of Ready-To-Use Assorted Sand for Construction Activities from Zinc Refining Wastes and Marble Powder

Project position

SRF/ JRF (one only)

Eligibility

SRF: M. Tech. in Civil/Structural/Chemical Engineering with at least 2 years of post M. Tech. research/teaching experience.

JRF: B. Tech. in Civil/Chemical Engineering with experience of working on material science related project/internship work.

Duration

The position is purely contractual and is available for one year, which can be extended up to 3 years based on candidate's performance and project completion date.

Fellowship

SRF: Rs. 28,000/- per month, plus HRA as per University norms

JRF: Rs. 25,000/- per month, plus HRA as per University norms

Desirable

  • GATE qualified
  • Experience to work in the area of concrete technology and experimental techniques for testing durability of concrete
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Ability and interest to read research publications
  • Publications in standard refereed journals or conferences

Candidates may note

  • Selection committee of Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting of eligible candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
  • The date and time of interview will be informed via email.
  • The selected individual may be assigned to perform any other duties time to time commensurate with his/her qualifications.
  • The above fellowship is purely temporary and will terminate automatically with the end of contract term or termination of the research scheme without any notice and compensation. The project staff shall have no claim of appointment/ absorption in Ministry of Mines or MUJ. An undertaking to the effect must be given by the candidate at the time of joining, if selected.
  • The selected candidates may opt for Ph.D. at MUJ (announced twice a year) as per provision in the above research area after fulfilling the required criteria for PhD admission.
  • No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview or at the time of joining the post.
