The Department of Mechatronics Engineering was established at Manipal University Jaipur in 2012. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering with a rich knowledge base formed by various disciplines of engineering. Hence an integrated curriculum is designed so to provide a broad-based education in the basic principles of electrical, electronics, computing, mechanical and control systems. Such a varied and diverse course is gaining much recognition and importance with every passing day and has become an engineering discipline high on demand.
The Department of Mechatronics Engineering offers the following program:

Department of Mechatronics Engineering
Thermal Engineering, Vibration, CAD, IC Engines, Material Testing, Metrology, Vehicle Transmission, CNC, Surveying, Geology, Fluid Machinery, Soil Mechanics, Highway and Concrete Technology, Environmental Engineering, Basic Work Shop and Machine Shop UC, EMI, Pneumatic & Hydraulics Lab.
The areas of research include: • Automation & Robotics • Servo Mechanics • Sensing & Control Systems • Automotive System Dynamics • Nanotechnology
This lab provides an enviornment to students to become familiar with basics of programming in assembly language in 8085A and understanding the different microprocessor and microcontroller architectures in terms of programming. Click Here to know more.
The objective of the lab is to modify the circuit using different valves and PLC to control the final actuator motion using electrical controls used in industrial scenario thus enhancing employability skills. Click Here to know more.
The sensor and control lab has been established with the components of Bosch-Rexroth Ltd in the year 2016. This lab consists of different types of industrial grade proximity sensors and hydraulic actuators with different accessories which provides learning platforms enhancing knowledge about the industrial automation and there applications. Click Here to know more.
This lab aims to familiarize students with how signals from input devices (i.e. switches, sensors, etc.) can interface with PLC units in order to invoke certain actions (i.e. start/stop an electric motor, turn on a light etc.) Click Here to know more.
EMI lab helps student to learn and understand basic instrumentation equipment’s and processes to operate modern test and measurement systems. Students learn to measure as well as develop the skill to calibrate the sensor/Transducers. This lab mainly deals with different kind of transducers which used for industrial applications.
