M.Tech in Non-Sewered Sanitation is two-year unique master’s programme transferred from world leading institution, Institute of Water Education, Delft (IHE Delft, Netherlands) initiated by a grant from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The programme aligns with Government of India Faecal Sludge & Septage Management policy catering the needs of smart cities ODF+ & ODF++ initiative. Along with this M.Tech in Non-Sewered Sanitation is a demand-driven and practice orientated programme brings you fundamental understanding and knowledge on urban and peri-urban sanitation as well as the skills necessary for creating impact.
The programme is dedicated to targeting needs and delivering specialists with a two-year degree programme, with the necessary credentials. It aims to attract talented and ambitious young and mid-career sanitation professionals, having a B.Tech degree in any discipline of engineering or M.Sc in chemistry. Also, for professional working in water supply and sewerage companies, municipal assemblies, government ministries, NGOs and consulting firms. Ideally these individuals are dealing with urban and peri-urban sanitation.
While being at M.Tech level, the programme has a professional orientation. The M.tech Programme in Non-Sewered Sanitation enables you to build strong profile to capture opportunities in GOI Smart Cities, AMRUT, SBM Programs.
The M.tech Programme in Non-Sewered Sanitation aims to foster leadership in sanitation sector and delivering tailored solution in technical options, financing, monitoring & evaluation, capacity building and training.
The M.tech Programme in Non-Sewered Sanitation Focuses on practical implementation of FSSM policy, covering roles and responsibilities by applying existing knowledge and theory in practice and to contribute to the further development of knowledge in sanitation, and conduct practice-orientated field research, independently or in a multidisciplinary team.
