Design, analysis, and manufacturing are the key areas of engineering, on which the productivity of any industry is based on. Design aided by rigorous analysis based on the robust computational models is the need of the hour in the current days of fourth industrial revolution. Developments of novel materials and processes that can cater the multifunctional needs of the rapidly growing sectors such as aerospace, automotive, smart structures, various kinds of implants, etc. are the most important task in front of the design and materials engineers.
To assume leadership roles in these sectors, Indian industries are looking for the pool of quality engineers equipped with in-depth understanding and knowledge of current and future challenges. Most of the current day challenges and future opportunities requires research and innovation. There are ample opportunities for the engineering and the technological manpower with such interest.
For all students having GATE qualified score card enrolling in M.Tech programs, the university will pay scholarship of Rs.15000/ per month.
Manipal University Jaipur established in 2011 promoted by Manipal Group, Karnataka. Department of Mechanical Engineering is running PG programs successfully since 2011. More than 40 students have completed M.Tech programs in Computer Aided Analysis and Design. The program has many unique features which make it industry ready, research & development and to start career in academia in India and at international level. The curriculum of M.Tech program has been designed as per industry need with dissertation in second year in R& D labs/Industries.
The Computer aided Analysis and Design (CAAD) program has courses such as Multiscale Modeling in Design, Finite Element Analysis, and Advanced Computer Aided Design etc. These courses will not only make the students ready to better handle the current challenges of the industries but also provide necessary skills and knowledge that can be helpful in predicting and solving the futuristic design and analysis related issues. The students of the program will have to carry out one-year dissertation at the University or at the industry of their choice.
The Department has large pool of faculties with Ph.D. at Indian premier institutes such asIISC Bangalore, different IITs, and from reputed foreign Universities who can be available to supervise the academic and research activities of the students. It is equipped with the state of the art design and computational facilities such as Multiscale Simulation Research Center (MSRC) along with the Bionac Research Center for the material development, characterization and testing. The Department equally encourages its students to go to the industries and carry out their dissertation on the real world problem. The Department has number of MOU’s with the industries to support these activities with various industries.
Eligibility criteria for M.Tech
B.E/B.Tech or AMIE or equivalent in Mechanical/Industrial & Production/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Science/Automobile Engineering and equivalent branch of Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
