Program Details - M Tech Power Electronics & Drives

Overview

The postgraduate program Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in  Power Electronics & Drives is offered by Department of Electrical Engineering that provides state-of-the-art training in Power Electronics,  Renewable Energy Sources, Electric Vehicles, Power System, Control System areas. This 2 years course is suitable for graduates who wish to specialize in Power Electronics & Drives.

The program offers a good number of open elective courses, allowing you to pursue your research interests. After completing the taught component of the course, you will undertake advanced independent research for one year under the supervision of specialist in your chosen area. 

Students of the department are taught using the best of the teaching resources and electronic resources. Teaching for the program is a mix of lectures, workshops, lab work, tutorials and projects.

At Electrical Engineering department most faculties are engaged in research and innovation activities that also help students learn and practice more in the field.

Objectives

The objective of the Master’s program is to develop expertise in student, sensitize them towards social and environmental issues and impart them the ability to apply their expertise to contemporary problem solving

After completing the course the student will be able to
