The department of Journalism and Mass Communication offers a full-fledged undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctorate program covering all major areas of Journalism, Communication and Film Studies. The department has highly qualified faculty with rich industry experience, state of the art infrastructure, holistic curriculum, placement process, lively co-curricular activities (theatre, dance, music, cinema, literature, debate etc.) and an ambience which encourages students to scale new heights in their areas of interest with a firm root in social sensitivity. The department aims to prepare skilled professionals and world leaders in the field of communication who can serve the society at large.

ADJUNCT VISITING FACULTY

 

Mr.Amit Bapna, Editor-at-large (Asia Pacific) - The Drum

(Formerly part of the editorial team at The Economic Times – Brand Equity)

 

He has been writing about the world of brands, marketing, advertising, and communication, having worked in the space for more than 20 years. This includes stints with various stakeholders of the content ecosystem: on the agency side (with the advertising agency Ogilvy), on the client side (HDFC Bank) & on the publisher side (The Times Group) among others. Worked as Senior Assistant Editor with The Economic Times for more than 9 years.

Working as Editor-at-large for the APAC region for the global publication The Drum (www.thedrum.com)  with the mandate of writing stories around trends in marketing, media, and creativity for the hugely diverse APAC region. The academic qualifications include a bachelor’s in science from St. Stephens College, Delhi, and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
